2015 Porsche Macan Release Date, Specs and Price

After unveiled at 2013 LA auto show, 2015 Porsche Macan made debut on public and the release date will be on April 2014. For first time closer look, this all new crossover SUV seems to have similar dimension to Audi Q5. Truly it is different which will be reengineered with 75% improvement compared to previous version, lighter weight with new aluminum body panels.

Specifications

The engine will come with seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and two twin-turbocharged choices which will deliver about 340 to 400 hp and 339 lbft to 406 lbft depending on the trim. The engines are 3.0 L and 3.6 L with different torque and power output that use direct injection technology for better fuel economy. Porsche offers two models: The Macan S and Turbo with different rear wheels, adaptive suspension and height levels.

Beside the improvements on engine performance, the suspension is also tuned as well as braking issue, aerodynamics, interior, exterior and other features including in wheel drive system. The suspension is also redesigned with increasing height of 1.58 inches to deliver optimal traction and stability performance on city and highway as well as chassis with new technology of Porsche Terrain Management system and launch control. It delivers dynamic torque to split on real axle so drivers will feel comfortable while cornering with better power.

This 2015 Porsche Macan also has amazing mpg which takes 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds for S model and 4.6 seconds for turbo model. The top speeds are 156 mph and 164 mph respectively. It also has improvements on cabin particularly on enterntainment system with new navigation module, center console, new speakers and amplifiers including safety features.

Price

There is no official confirmation on the pricing of this SUV. The rumor in Internet said the S model price will start at £43,300 and £59,300 for turbo in UK market. This new car is believed to tough competitor for its market such as Audi Q5 and BMW X3 including Lamborghini Urus for the future. You can order this SUV from 20 November 2013.
