2014 Honda Odyssey Is Launched in Malaysia and Australia

After released in Japan, 2014 Honda Odyssey is launched in Malaysia at November 15 2013. This 5-generation MPV will be on sale in Australia, February next year. It has more appealing than previous version with significant improvements on fuel efficiency, exterior and interior design. The new variant comes with new eight-seat to afford demands of luxury premium MPVs in Asian market with competitive price, starting from RM 228,000 to RM 248,000.

This new car with large platform, use same engine to Accord, 2.4L DOHC i-VTEC Honda Earth Dreams engine with CVT transmission on front wheel to deliver power of 175 PS and torque of 255 NM as well as dynamic acceleration on city and highway. It is redesigned to get more fuel economy (14 more efficient), lower emissions, lighter weight and improve stability (smooth ride) with lower gravity. The features of safety and entertainment are also improved to make it best value on its class.

ECON mode is applied in power-train configuration to promote fuel efficiency by indicating economical issue in driving so there will be cooperative control as coaching function on this car’s feature. The interior has higher ceiling, 5.4 m turning circle and lower floor platform with two power sliding door. For improving visibility, pillar locations are redesigned with new model for delivering more glass surface.

2014 Honda Odyssey also features premium cradle leather seats on second row so passengers will be comfortable and feel like sit on hotel suite. The electronic features come with latest interface and touch type on audio display so it can be paired easily with your smartphone. It also includes six airbags for all row seats with new redesign safety features of Blind Spot Information, Smart Parking Assist System and Cross Traffic Monitor (CTA). This car is improved to be tougher competitor to Chevy Suburban.
